On a sunny saturday!

I find when you least expect to find bargains you end up finding some of the best ones!!..I recenty checked out a store in downtown Owensound, and COULD not leave...although i could not affored a placemat...I was inspired!!...BareBirch was the name of the store..www.barebirch.ca..check it out..amazing!!

it's been awhile!

So my dream is to one day open a  higher end antique (from old to new) shop!..I only have limited space in our house now, so having more space would be fantasic...one can dream!!..:). Latley I have been collecting many items, some I have re done and some i think look gorgeous just on there own. Here is some stuff I have been working on latley!

Waking up bright and early to hit up the first garage sale!..i am happy to say i found some great deals..and with a little TLC...(or artistic touch), these once old finds have become treasures in my house!

Here are some great decals i found online..its tough finding ones that u can copy paste..and print, but i have a couple here thatIi framed and I think look great!..I will attach a few that you can use and print off as well. Also make sure you check your house for old frames, that you can paint..or head over to the doller store and find some great CHEAP ones there!..good luck!

So every now and then I come across some amazing ideas, or decor and i save these to my computer. I have decided to do a post (i will try) every month or so, and show pictures of things that really caught my eye! And believe me, there is a lot more were this came from!

art project!

hey there! So it's been a while since i blogged, but it has been very busy over here! Getting a house finished is hard work. I came across this really neat idea for simple wall art, and thought..I need to try that! I am one for filling my house with artwork that I have made or painted, instead of going out and spending oodles of dollers! This project is so much fun and looks really neat.

Go to the local hardware store or paint supply store, and first ask if the have any left over paint samples! Pick out some canvases, I found my inexpensive ones at the dollerstore, then glue them all in place using paper mache glue.

 Once you have them all in place, i like to spread the paper mache glue over the entire artwork, this makes the corners of the paint samples rise up!

Repurposed Coat Rack Ideas

hello everyone!..it has been a bit since I posted on here, but I have been working on a number of things and can't wait to share. One of the lastest ideas was brought on by my love for birch, and up north it's easy to come by!..My hubby went out and collected some nice braches for me, and i put it all to good use. My favourite is a coat rack for our front enterence. Here are some pictures..and also some other ides i thought were neat as well!...enjoy!!
